The DS1307 is a low power consumption, full BCD code clock calendar real time clock chip with 56 bytes of non-lapsing RAM. The address and data are transmitted via a two-wire bi-directional serial bus, the chip can provide seconds, minutes, hours etc. and the number of days in each month can be adjusted automatically. The AM/PM flag bit determines whether the clock works in 24-hour or 12-hour mode, and the chip has a built-in power sense circuit with power-down detection and battery switching.

 

DS1307 features.

Keeps count of seconds, hours, minutes, days of the month, months, days of the week and has leap year compensation. The year is recorded on the 2100.
